Walked Eve to preschool then went to the playground the street climbing but put off by the burnt area 🙁
Walked home through the woods. I was trying to encourage Toby to identify trees but he wasn’t so interested so we ended up talking about what makes something alive and mammals as a subtype of animals. We also watched the lake for a while – we could see the fish bubbles and then looking after a while could see them coming up to the surface. We also saw fluffy ducklings 🙂
Once home Toby wanted to do spreadsheetsand is doing a new version of Red Hot Doom game!
We did a Math Factor about ordering fractions which Toby found easy and an EdPlace English about tricky spellings which Toby knew no problem!
We walked to collect Eve from preschool, Toby fell over just before we got there and hurt his elbow so we came straight home on the bus.
At home Toby read Astrosaurs ‘Space Ghosts’.
He watched Vi Hart about Shepard Tones – how you can compose music which sounds as though it is ascending or descending in pitch but is actually not changing. He then went to compose his own music on the iPad!
Later he did coding on Khan Academy and wrote and used a for loop perfectly!
Toby and Eve played out in the garden with the hose and bowls of water for ages – getting soaked but having a brilliant time!
A bit of k’nex!
Drawing mazes!
Watched Brain Games.
More spreadsheets and more reading Astrosaurs.
