Toby watched VSauce and Numberphiles. He was interested in Sandpiles and the Mandelbrot Set.
Toby was working on a puzzle game, made in AudioShare. It is a really original and creative idea using the app in this way. He recorded clues and explainations into audio files then made lots of folders with different names. To get to the next part of the puzzle you have to follow the correct folder path. He also put some text puzzles in text files. Fantastic!
He and Eve did painting, Toby wanted to add some interesting art to his room. He did paintings inspired by space, chemistry and maths!
We got an app which shows many of the works of Escher. Toby and I went through many of these together. We discussed the different categories of his work and how some of them overlap. Tessellations, illusions, nature, self portraits, reality and imaginary. It was great to do this together.
Watching Primitive Technology with Chris – it is about a man who makes things in the wild completely from scratch using no modern tools or materials.
Toby played piano and then in Notion wrote a remix of Bad Romance – amazing! He also asked to read about what some of the musical notation meant.
We went for a walk and scoot over the Manor to get a bit of exercise.
