In the morning we went to junior parkrun again. Toby did really well and ran the whole thing again 🙂 Eve walked and ran around the whole course too this time!

We came home and got ready then went to Hayley’s 6th birthday party. Toby can find parties quite difficult and he did really well. He played junior labyrinth with Chris, chemistry card game, a game Tracey wanted to play, he played beautifully with baby Mia – just so sweet, he tried really hard to join in with the imaginary play games that Hayley, Aimee, Erin and Eve were playing. He loved doing the water pistols in the garden especially popping bubbles by squirting them! He watched while Hayley was unwrapping her presents and blowing out her candles (he did get a bit upset that he didn’t sing the song in time but it was quickly resolved). He did really well speaking to his Granny who had just come out of hospital.

We came home had dinner then went to Jump Evolution trampoline park for a special session with RAGS (local autism support group). Toby did well here but was finding it hard to listen to instructions and not get too hyped up – I was trying to use an anxiety scale and he was getting higher and higher. We went in the sensory room and ended up leaving after about 35 mins. I think I had tried to fit too much in, plus it was late in the evening, he had a bad tummy later so that may have contributed as well. I think it was good that he was responding to the scale and we were able to leave before he got too escalated so a success!
