I need to start writing these posts are more than just bullet points at some point! The main things today were that Toby ate peanut butter again for lunch and had a brilliant piano lesson after practising today.
Chris and I discussed that Toby has become very interested in Geogebra – often Toby will get these intense interests for a few days or a week and then get a different interest. The great thing about Geogebra is that he is learning about shape, animation and tesselation and he is watching and following the instructions of tutorial videos to create something complex. It is great that he is following through to completion.
Here’s the long list again!
- Writing up a game he had in a dream about a bird flying over obstacles but got distracted
- Played with Eve doing the iPad – helping her

- Played with cones, coming up with all different ways of using them and for exercise

- Geogebra
- Watched a 8 pointed star tesselation video and followed all the instructions – amazing! At the very end Toby messed up and he handled it! Need to figure out undo and saving at the right time
- Ate peanut butter roll again – woohoo! While watching geogebra video
- Did geogebra app and figured out how to fix the vector translation that messed up earlier

- Shape animation – making circles that circle around each other
- Few pages of the maths workbook on reflection, rotation and translation which is what Toby was doing in the geogebra app
- Read Chemistry – getting a big reaction

- Made dens in Toby’s room with Eve
- Practised piano – Dinosaur’s bedtime march – for his piano lesson
- Music composition – interesting that he wanted to do something similar to Dinosaur’s bedtime march
- Geogebra – saved his creation 🙂
- Exercise – Toby led, jumps and running
- SNAPtastic
- Piano lesson – teacher was v pleased, Toby did fantastically 🙂
- Geogebra again
- Relaxed Geography as we were going past the world map at top of stairs. Toby commented that he wasn’t good at geography – we need to work on Toby feeling he is not worse at certain subjects.
- Did Meet Science lesson, answered quiz questions and watched 3 experiments on Magnetism.
- Read the History of Money library book for bedtime
