We walked to and from preschool to drop Eve off. I thought our appointment at Dycorts was today but it is not till next month! Toby didn’t mind the change of plan at all!

Toby did some work in the age 10-11 maths workbook on lines of symmetry and reflections. He also tried to do an exercise on comparing distances travelled in time when the units and measurements were different. He found this very difficult so we have an area to work on!

We then did sudoku and word search puzzles together.

While getting ready to go we watched VSauce – Brachiastone.

We walked to the skatepark where Toby and I played chase then onto the playground and then climbing. We didn’t have long on them because we had to collect Eve, Toby was fab about this and took part in decided when we should leave.

The funfair was setting up and Toby said he wanted to go tomorrow evening, I wasn’t sure as it opens at 6pm close to Eve’s bedtime. Toby then discussed how to make each of their bedtime routines shorter so that we could still go. It showed great planning skills!

We got Eve then came back to the skatepark, playground and street climbing. They had a fab time together and were involving each other 🙂 On the way out they were blowing dandelions!

We missed the bus so started walking back – Toby made up a drain game which encouraged Eve lots so that she forgot about tired legs! There were different number of points for different types of drains. Toby wrote down the rules when we got home.

This afternoon Toby did lots of great activities. He read Charlie and the Chocolate factory. He played chess on the iPad and did the Sounds Exploratorium which has lots of demonstrations of the science of sounds and then descriptions to read too. He did a few puzzles from the Puzzle Club magazine.

We played Uno while Eve was having a bath and then Toby created a new spreadsheet using a range of functions and shared it with us.

Nannie Toni came over this evening and Toby was delighted to see her. They played Scrabble and Uno together and he was excitedly telling her about the drain game and his spreadsheet!
