HE visit and SNAPtastic

This morning we walked Eve to preschool then came home via the skatepark and playground. We didn’t stay long as we had a visit from the HE dept.

Ann visited us at 10am. Toby was reading the Fiendish Angletron and a new Astrosaurs book while she was here. He responded well to her questions and showed her his JavaScript code and started programming fractal (he gave a brilliant explanation of fractals) Vs.

After she left Toby carried on reading until we walked to get Eve. Afterwards we went to the basketball court (just running around), to the playground and then street climbing.

Toby frustrated by a younger boy who was following him and Eve. He hadn’t realised that the boy didn’t speak English and once he realised he was more understanding.

In the afternoon we did math factor – harder addition. Toby did quite a lot of pigment and writing about the patterns in Notes.

We went to SNAPtastic which was great. We played a Toby pool version which involved hands rather than the cues. We built large train tracks. Toby managed to play on the soft play and in the tower with other boys without difficulty. We did Air Hockey then Toby was very pleased because Alison was free and he got to do 5 mins of drawing with her at the end.

After dinner Toby did 2 English activities on Ed Place about sentence formation.

He watched Magic School Bus.

He read The World Around Us Encyclopaedia before bed – mountains and earth quakes.
