Hot day!

Today Toby read Stop those monsters at breakfast time and then again in the afternoon and almost finished it before bedtime!

He and Eve did Hama Beads – both finishing another design.

They played Stuffitystuff together.

Toby did more on his Periodic Table puzzle – he is aboit 2/3s of the way through now.

We went to the woods, the street climbing and playground again. They both had a great time and were brilliant. It was very hot and Eve struggled on the way home – Toby again was great encouraging her and playing games to keep her going!

At iPad time, Toby recreated the block characters from Thomas was Alone in Shape Kit and even animated them. This lead to a conversation about rendering and the amount of time it takes. Toby was astonished that it takes such a long time for a proper film!

Toby did a grand genius test on math factor on column addition of more than two 2 digit numbers – he thought he had got them all correct but he got one wrong. He got very upset and angry but he managed to handle it and even listened to me try to explain that failure can be good on a path to learning (he didn’t agree!). Hopefully this won’t put him off.
