Toby started reading How to train a dragon as soon as he woke up and continued reading at breakfast time.

We walked to take Eve to preschool – they had fun together and Toby wrote a blog post about it!

We went to the playground followed by street climbing. Toby played tag with a boy there 🙂

At home Toby did more reading and Maths and English EdPlace sessions.

We walked to collect Eve and got the bus back as Jasmine was arriving soon!

Watched In a nutshell at lunch time.

Toby did a few more EdPlaces throughout the day.

Jasmine and Aunty Maggy arrived. Toby and Eve were very excited and played fun, chasing games with her.

Toby showed Maggy his Geomag Serpinski pyramid. We talked about how important Serpinski’s triangle is in maths and Toby asked to read about it and Pascal’s triangle. We printed out some of Pascal’s triangle and Toby made a key and coloured in the different cells according to the remainder after dividing by 3. He’d seen this on a Vi Hart video and how the colours created Serpinski’s triangle.

Jasmine, Toby and Eve did some marble run.

Toby then read some of Gödel, Escher, Bach and drew a pattern from the book. He also tried out the 3n+1 for odds and n/2 for evens experiment on a bunch of numbers – he’d seen this on Numberphile a few days ago.

He also drew a maze.

Later he watched the first half of Inside Out which is a great film for exploring emotions and emotional development.
