We got ready quickly this morning so we’d get to Junior Parkrun on time. Toby read Invisible Inc on the way to the park.

Toby ran really well and didn’t walk at all. He said that his legs were listening and raptors were giving him boosters! This was his 8th junior parkrun and he beat his PB by 20 seconds! Go Toby!

Jasmine wasn’t feeling too good so she and Chris stayed in the car while I took Eve to the playground and woods. They had a great time on the climbing frames and ropes then did amazing walking (and balancing from Toby) through the woods and past the lake.

Toby read Invisible Inc again on the way back.

He did some Swift playgrounds and then JavaScript coding at home. He wrote his own ‘for’ loop and got it all working himself. He planned what he wanted to acheieve – random number of dots on screen in random colours and random positions with a larger dot in the middle to show the colour better. He even wrote some debugging code to show the random values in the corner which he commented out after. Brilliant stuff!

This afternoon we went to Thames Chase – there were limited bikes so Eve and I went to the playground while Jasmine, Chris and Toby went for a ride (Toby with Chris on the tandem again). Afterwards Toby came to the playground. We all started going round the walking trail which has different play structures around it. Trusty Oak was a huge wooden climbing hut then Ants Nest was a pyramid which climbing gear on the outside and layers to climb inside. There were Tipis in the woods and Snake Stepping Stones. A great walk and great fun 🙂

Once had home Toby did more reading, math factor percentages, more coding and building with dominoes.
