SNAPtastic

Toby woke up early and did JavaScript programming straight away. Prime numbers and a kind of story too!

We watched Vi Hart at breakfast time.

Toby read the 3rd book in the How to train your dragon series.

We went for a walk in Holly Woods to get a photo of the chasm. Toby was pretty brave as he found it a bit scary! A large puppy dog was jumping up at us and Toby ran away. This made the dog super excited and jumping even more. Toby and I discussed this and how it was difficult to overcome your fight or flight response to use your brain. Toby drew a fantastic map of where we had walked and we compared it to the map of the woods at the start of the path.

We went to SNAPtastic – Toby was pleased when I pointed out that George was waving at him and remembered him from last time. They played together for ages on the soft play and tower area. George and another boy were playing a bit too roughly together and Toby amazingly was trying to help them calm down by explaining that the lava in the game would get hotter if they got angrier!

Toby wanted to be where George was so followed him upstairs. George wanted to play normal noughts and crosses but Toby wanted to invent a better version. George did try to listen but Toby was busy drawing the new version!

Toby noticed a huge train track being built and asked to join in! He was being very helpful trying to find the pieces of track that were needed 🙂

He went to find George in the iPad room and watched him play – laughing and joking with George. Even handling George tickling him lots! Toby was being a bit loud, I told him so they both chose to come downstairs to play together in the soft play again.

Toby read on the way home and finished How to speak dragonese while I went to Tesco.

He did an amazing (if a bit gruesome) comic strip story. He was inspired by the previous number stories he had done.

He was doing the lights and sounds apps on the iPad.
