Today we had a stay at home day with lots of activities!
In the morning we completed the big Tractor and Crane jigsaws with Eve. Toby and Eve took turns to figure out where pieces went and Toby did well to let Eve take her time.

Toby spent a long time writing rules for a formal system starting with the word ‘ping’ and using the rules he had created to replace characters in the string. This was in the style of ‘The MU-puzzle’ chapter in Gödel, Escher, Bach. He then spent a long time reading GED.
In the afternoon Toby painted a bird house we had won in the RAGS raffle while Eve painted a smaller version. Toby thought that it would be better if there was a hatch for the bird to enter the house by.
Later we all spent time in the garden having fun in the paddling pool 🙂

Toby practised piano and also created some music using Gadget app. He used his chess iPad time here too.
Toby read and did some more of the activities in the Starving the anxiety gremlin book.
While Eve was going off to sleep, Chris and Toby did some carpentry! Toby made a stage by using 2 pieces of wood, nails and hammer.
